Here is a photo of the United States Forest Service’s new patrol boat, the Kristine Fairbanks.  As most of you are aware, Kris was the USFS officer for our area.   She was also a K-9 handler/trainer and was heavily involved in the Washington State Police Canine Association.   She was murdered in the line of duty on 09/20/08 outside of Sequim.   Her husband Brian is an officer with WDFW and her daughter, Whitney, is a student at WSU and was recently selected for an internship with Pullman PD.
